The vehicle robberies have increased in Jammu and a similar incident took place yesterday at last Morh Gandhi Nagar Jammu where a white-colored Activa scooty bearing number JK02BM3629 was stolen. The owner of the scooty runs a famous dairy shop named New Choudhary Dairy Product. The place where the scooty was parked usually remains busy in terms of traffic movement. A case has been registered in the Police Station.While talking to the media the owner of the scooty said “the incident happened around 6 pm. The area doesn’t have proper working CCTV cameras so we are unable to check the footage. We were parking our vehicles here since 2009 when this shop was opened but for the first time, such an incident has happened. All the shopkeepers are shocked that such an incident can take place in this area. We have registered the case in the nearby police station for its recovery”.A resident said ” many times at night our vehicles remain parked outside but this is for the first time such an incident took place. This area is a commercial area as it has many shops and the road remains crowded so it’s very difficult to say who has stolen it. Now we are afraid to park our vehicles outside. We appeal to the government to immediately take action in the matter otherwise such incidents can increase”.
