J&K: Three overground workers of LeT arrested in Kulgam; huge cache of arms recovered

Security forces on Friday arrested three overground workers of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) from the Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir. A huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from them.The J&K Police confirmed that the three arrested persons have been identified as Abid Mushtaq, Aadil Jamal Bhat and Danish Rasool Bhat, all residents of Tral area in Pulwama district.They were arrested while security forces were inspecting vehicles at a checkpoint in the Qazigund area. They were travelling in a car and on a motorcycle.Kulgam Police, along with the Indian Army, recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition including a rifle, magazine, 4 grenade, 4 detonators, an IED along with wire and 30 pistol rounds from their possession.Four hand grenades, four detonators, one IED, one IED wire, one AK-47 short rifle, one magazine and 30 pistol rounds were recovered from their possession, he added.Meanwhile, in another bust, one person namely Muheeb Bashir Dar was arrested for his alleged involvement in the killing of Inspector Parvez Ahmad.A case has been registered. The accused arrested is also involved in many other terror-related incidents, said the J&K Police.
