Won’t Let Kashmir to turn into graveyard: PAGD Will move to Supreme court on Hyderpora encounter

Srinagar, 18-Nov; People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) on Thursday said that they want to safeguard the lives of the people and “won’t let Kashmir to turn into a graveyard”, adding that they are not here to discuss the political process.Speaking on Hyderpora encounter, PAGD spokesperson Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami said that alliance will move to Supreme Court for delivery of justice to victim. “Whole Kashmir understands the situation and we trust the highest institution to interfere for the security of citizens in Jammu and Kashmir”, Tarigami saidWhile demanding time bound judicial probe into the incident, he said that those involved in the incident should be dealt with as per the law.“We believe those involved irrespective of their position are law violators and deserve punishment”, he said.Earlier, LG Manoj Sinha ordered a magisterial probe into Hyderpora encounter in which four people were killed.Four people, including a foreign militant, his local associate, Altaf Ahmad, owner of the building where the encounter took place and Dr Mudasir Gul, who was running a call centre in a rented floor of the building were killed in this encounter.All the four slain persons were buried in north Kashmir Handwara tehsil, including the two civilians whose bodies were not handed over to their families for burial.Pertinently, Mainstream leaders, including three former Chief Ministers, Dr Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, and Sajad Lone of Peoples Conference, Yusuf Tarigami of the CPI-M have demanded an impartial probe into the incident and asked admin to return the bodies of slain civilians to families.(CNS)
