Srinagar,17-Dec : The customers have alleged cheating and negligence in insurance cases at the hands of Alfa Suzuki Shaheed Gunj, the authorized dealer of Suzuki two- wheelers in Srinagar. The customers alleged that the dealer makes falsified bills to the customers who make repair claims for accidents as per insurance claims.A customer said, ‘I met with an accident last month, causing damage to my bike. I pursued it with my insurance agent who after making an inspection, advised me to submit the bike to Alfa Suzuki Showroom at Shaheed Gunj. The dealer repaired the bike in my absence and included expenses of those services deliberately without my knowledge which don’t fall in insurance claims. Ultimately, I had to pay additional amount of around 4000 rupees on uncovered repairs in insurance claims, which were done without my knowledge.’ He alleged that the dealer is making a fool of customers after getting payments and never submit the bills to the insurance companies.The customers literally have to beg to the manager and make frequent visits to the showroom to just get the bills mailed to the insurance agents, which is a terrible experience as customers are treated like animals and even owners of the showroom don’t pay any respect to its customers’.Another aggrieved customer alleged that the dealer doesn’t have even basic spare parts and customers are made to wait for weeks to get even basic spare parts. He said that during simple servicing, additional repairs are done to the two –wheelers without the knowledge of customers in lieu of fake claims that these repairs were necessary and customers have to pay this unwanted amount. He further alleged that the conduct of the dealer is very callous and no respect is paid to the customers. The customers further said that it is better to repair and buy two wheelers from other service providers, who may offer better experience and value to their customer, rather than minting money with sheer disrespect.(CNS)
