COVID19: DC Rajouri visits Thanamandi, inspects quarantine centres

RAJOURI, JUNE 03: Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Wednesday paid a visit to Thanamandi tehsil of Rajouri district and took stock of the facilities being provided to the quarantined persons there.
During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the arrangements like water, electricity, bedding, hygiene, and other facilities which are being put in place by the district administration for the convenience of the persons brought to the quarantine centres.
He directed the concerned officers to make available all the required facilities for the quarantined persons so that they do not feel any inconvenience during their temporary stay in the quarantine centres.
He also asked the concerned officers to provide proper hygienic refreshment/meals to the boarders besides ensuring proper sanitation and round the clock electricity at the quarantine centre.
The Deputy Commissioner while interacting with the persons placed in quarantine centres urged them to follow the guidelines and SOPs to prevent themselves and others from the threat of spreading Coronavirus infection. He also sought their cooperation in the smooth operation of the quarantine centres.
He said that the district administration has geared up to tide over any challenge thrown by the pandemic and exhorted upon the people to extend handholding support by way of observing complete lockdown and restricting unnecessary movement. He said that the need of the hour is to show a constructive approach and fight with unity to combat the spread of Covid-19 in the district.
