Srinagar ,14-Feb;Continuing its drive against drug Peddlers Awantipora Police arrested one drug peddler and recovered 5.7 grams substance suspected to be heroin from his possession.Police party of Police Station Pampore on naka duty at Kadlabal Pampore found 01 persons moving in suspicious circumstances and was stopped for checking. During checking, the person was found to be carrying/ possessing psychotropic substance suspected to be heroin (about 5.7 grams) .The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Mohd Ayoub Akhoon resident of Tulbagh Pampore.Meanwhile, Case vide FIR number 12/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Pampore.Police have requested Community members to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law.(CNS)
