In an effort to integrate the local youth with national mainstream and to promote the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie amongst the local populace, residing in the far flung areas of Kanzalwan, Indian Army organised a five days Inter Village Volley Ball Tournament at Izmarg. The event, in which a total of Ten teams participated, saw the display of tremendous sportsmanship in all the matches. All the teams exhibited enthusiasm and competitive spirit.The final match was played between Kanzalwan warrior and Izmarg panthers today. The match was witnessed by the local supporters of both the teams, in which the Kanzalwan warrior won the hard fought battle and was the deserving winner. Both the teams on their part put up a fine display of sportsmanship and discipline.The occasion was graced by the Village Heads, Sarpanch’s and Panch’s of the villages, principal of Izmarg high secondary school including local populace, who witnessed the keenly contested final. Commanding Officer of the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion who was chief guest distributed cash prizes to the winners and runners up teams.Regards
