Srinagar,01-Dec; The Ladakh Ski & Snowboard Association (LSSA) received the Rashtrya Khel prutsahan puruskar 2022 at Rashtrapati bhawan from the President of India Smt. Droupadi MurmuThe team of highly skilled Snow Ski coaches Ice Hockey Coaches, mountaineers and trekkers from Ladakh has been bestowed the award for their hard work to establish different adventure sports and making Kargil in Ladakh an alternate Ski distination for India.The team has already worked as senior coaches/instructors with different reputed association around India.The team has produced National and International players in skiing and other winter sports and skiers like Alpine Skier who represented India in Austria in the year 2014-15 and Lebanon in 2017-18.The team is working in the field of sports specially winter sports in Ladakh.Sadiq Ali (Ski Coach of Ladakh )while talking to our Correspondent said that For the last many years LSSA has been giving training to the local youths to participate in National games across the country.
