Anantnag,07-Jan; Illegal encroachments were demolished during the demolition drive in Larnoo Tehsil of Kokernag Subdivision in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district .On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, a joint team of Revenue and Police demolished illegal structures in Larnoo tehsil and also removed encroachment of State land as well as retrieval of the same on Saturday morning.The team led by Tehsildar Larnoo, Police team headed by SHO Larnoo and other revenue officials retrieved 5 kanals of state land.As per an official, this is a continuous process and is more vigorously being carried out despite severe cold with sub-zero temperature.A stern message has been sent across to all violators that no illegal structure or activity shall be tolerated and strict action shall be taken against them no matter how far from headquarters they might be.More such drives have been planned to ensure that illegal constructions are deterred and people are advised to follow the proper procedure of applying for permission through proper channel, added the official.
