*.*PRESS RELEASE;KATHUA; 05 JAN:- In continuation to a drive launched by J&K Police Kathua against the thieves/vehicle lifters operating in this district Kathua Police under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS* has solved a theft case within 15 days by recovering 01 stolen car (Tata) worth approx. 8 Lacs Rupees & 01 thief arrested who was involved in the offence in limits of PS Kathua. On 21/12/2025 a complaint through the complainant namely Nidhan Pathania S/o Rasar Singh R/o Ward No. 03 Krishna Colony Kathua District Kathua has been recieved at PS Kathua regarding the Theft of his Car(Tata) bearing Reg. No.JK08M-9933 from Kathua area for which a case was registered at PS Kathua vide FIR No. 600/2025 U/S 331(4)/305/ BNS. Following a thorough investigation, the police team of PS Kathua led by SHO PS Kathua Insp. Sandeep Singh Chib under the close supervision of Addl SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak & DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh examined CCTV footage from the area, conducted enquiries with local residents and utilised human intelligence sources.As a result of these sustained and coordinated efforts police team successfully arrested one suspect namely 1. Subham Pathania S/o Jagdev Singh R/o Ward No. 14 Taranagar Tehsil & District Kathua. Upon interrogation, the said accused confessed his involvement in the said theft case and disclosed the location of the stolen Car.Thereafter the recovered vehicle was seized and said accused person was arrested on the spot.
