Srinagar Police in continuing its drive against social evils, Police Party of Police Station Karanagar under SHO PS Karanagar, under the supervision of SDPO Shaheed Gunj got a lead and following the information apprehended 06 persons who were found gambling at Zampa Kadal near Pump Shed namely:
- Mushtaq Ahmad Shah S/o Gh. Mohiuddin
R/o Batshah Mohalla Srinagar. - Farooq Ahmad Bhat
S/o Ab. Hameed
R/o Wantpora Malpora. - Aijaz Ahmad Khan
S/o M. Shaban
R/o Sazgari Pora Sgr. - Rastum Khan
S/o Ab. Aziz Khan
R/o Waniyar Noorbagh. - Mohd Muzaffar Beigh
S/o Gh Mohammad
R/o Saidpora Sgr and - Mehraj din Najar
S/o Mohammad Yousuf
R/o Saidpora Sgr.
From the spot, stake money of Rs 46790/= and set of playing cards recovered.
In this regard case FIR No. 57/20 U/S 13 Gambling Act stands registered in PS Karanagar and investigation taken up.
This is in continuation of the efforts of Srinagar Police to curb the social evils.
