Shopian resident held with hand grenades, ammunition in Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir

A man from south Kashmir’s Shopian district was arrested with two hand grenades and twelve AK rounds in Rajouri district, officials said on Monday.

They said that an army team detained the Shopian resident from a passenger cab heading to Rajouri from Kashmir.

Two hand grenades and twelve AK rifle bullets have been recovered and the man has been shifted to police station Thanamandi for further questioning,” said an official.

Further investigation is going on, he said.
