Ganderbal, 10-May: At least 13 sheep were killed and over a dozen injured in stray dogs’ attack in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. Locals in Surfraw Gund village of Ganderbal district said that stray dogs barged into the cowshed at night and killed 13 sheep. The sheep belonged to a local namely Mubarak Ahmad Raina son of Sonaullah Raina, a resident of Surfraw Gund. “Stray dogs have killed 13 sheep and injured 14 others including lambs among which 4 are critical,” the owner of the livestock told Meanwhile, a team from the Sheep Husbandry Department reached the spot and took the injured sheep to a nearby facility for treatment. Officials from sheep husbandry told that injured sheep are being treated at the veterinary and after that they have to submit a factual position of the incident.(CNS
