Kulgam,07-Apr; The fortnight-long Poshan Pakhwada, an outreach programme focusing on nutrition as part of Jan Andolan under POSHAN Abhiyaan of the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Government of India concluded on Thursday at Sopat Tangpora in Kulgam district.During the fortnight-long programme, the ICDS project Devsar organised several programmes on Poshan melas, nutrition, sessions on nutrition at schools, anaemia camps, growth monitoring of children, home visits of new-born babies by ASHA/AWW, sanitation and nutrition day.The programme was supervised by CDPO ICDS Project Devsar, Mtr. Mehbooba Akther at Sopat Tangpora of project Devsar Kulgam. On the conclusion day, Chief Guest, Reyaz Ahmad sofi (District Programme Officer, ICDS Kulgam), CDPO Devsar, supervisors, field functionaries, Health & Nutrition Mobilizer, and pregnant/lactating mothers of various areas participated in person,During the whole time programme, all the speakers and particularly chief guest threw light on the theme of Poshan Pakhwada and focussed on to celebrate the same programmes in a same line at all Anganwadi centres as calendar.(CNS)
