Srinagar ,17-Mar; At least three residential houses and two cowsheds were gutted in a fire incident during intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in Rajwar Handwara of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.Official sources said the fire broke out in the vicinity of Behnipora village of Rajwar and engulfed the structures belonging to the Mohammad Sonaullah Sheikh, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh and Abdul Aziz Sheikh which soon gutted the nearby two cow sheds.“Fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames,” adding that three residential houses got damaged till the fire was brought under control and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained,Locals said had the fire tenders reached the spot on time the blaze could have been controlled much earlier.Meanwhile, locals appealed to the district administration to rehabilitate the affected family on priority basis.(CNS)
