Police nabbed three suspected associates of terror operatives and recovered Rs 42 lakh worth cash from their possession which they were transporting from Punjab to South Kashmir.When approached for comments, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli said the case is under investigation.“The case is at preliminary stage of investigation presently,” Kohli said.However, reliable sources told that Rs 42 lakh has been recovered from the possession of three suspected associates of terror operatives, all of whom belonged to South Kashmir.They have been identified as Fayaz Ahmad Dar, 40, son of Abdul Rehman Dar, a resident of village Mishipura Yaripora in Kulgam district, Umar Farooq, 19, son of Farooq Ahmed Malik of Pulwama and Mauzam Parvaiz son of Parvez Ahmad Malik of Dillipura, Pulwama.Police said acting on a tip off that a consignment of cash is being shifted to South Kashmir from Punjab, they had laid a naka at Ban Toll Plaza in Nagrota on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.They intercepted Innova car No, DL-1ZB 8261 and nabbed all three associates of terror operatives and recovered Rs 42 lakh cash from their possession.“Source of the cash in Punjab is being ascertained,” the sources said, adding all three suspects have been shifted to Police Station for sustained interrogation.Further investigations are in progress.Jammu Police have also established contact with their Kashmir counterparts to ascertain past record of the suspects.“’A contact has also been established with Punjab Police as the suspects had taken cash from the neighbouring State,” the sources said.
