Handwara,16-Apr: A mass cleanliness drive under gram swaraj abhiyaan was organised in wadipora A in which all government and private school participated including Govt Middle School Wodipora, Higher Secondary School Wodipora and Green Land Public School Wodipora. On the event, placards depicting the information about the importance of cleanliness of the environment were displayed .The importance of cleanliness among the budding generation in general and common masses in particular was highlighted.The students were chanting various cleanliness based slogans like “MAHOOL KO SAAF RAKHO” “GO GREEN GO CLEAN”The event was organised by BDO Handwara, Teachers of various government and private schools and civil society members.The residents of the said village lauded the role of BDO Handwara Rehmatullah Bhat (JKAS) for awareness programme among the common masses, about the advantages of cleanliness and the impact of pollution.Talking to media persons BDO said that our department is always there at the forefront to address the grievances of the common masses.”our department is running various schemes for the betterment of common masses and upliftment of the downtrodden masses”, he added.Meanwhile Headmaster Girl’s Middle School Wodipora Manzoor Ahmad appreciated the role of BDO Handwara and also appealed him to provide dustbins on road side and also in schools for dumping propose of wastes materials.
