Srinagar ,31-Mar: Expressing deep sorrow and grief over damage to dozens of houses and shops in different horrific fire incidents in several areas of Srinagar city including Gadyar Zaina Kadal, Gojwara, Gota Colony Noorbagh, Daruk Khair Mirwaiz Manzil patron incarcerated Mirwaiz Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq has expressed his heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with all the victims and prayed for the recovery of the injured.The Darul Khair in a statement said that in view of the unfavorable and serious situation of the beloved homeland, there is a need for immediate rehabilitation of all these victims.On the directions of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who continues to be under house arrest since 5 August 2019, a delegation of the Darul Khair led by Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon distributed rice, blankets and kitchen kits among the victims as interim relief and also expressed sympathy to those whose houses were gutted. The delegation also expressed sympathy with the fire victims in Zaina Kadal and said efforts will be made to deliver relief goods to the affected areas soon.On the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, Darul Khair Mirwaiz Manzil has made it clear that the people of Kashmir are aware of the fact that this organisation, from the time of its establishment till today, with the continuous support of its well-wishers, has been engaged in its efforts for the relief and rehabilitation of the victims of natural calamities irrespective of religion and nationality.In this regard, Darul Khair Mirwaiz Manzil has again appealed to the financially well-off people to continue extending all possible help and assistance of this institution, for so that the relief work can be continued.(CNS)
