Srinagar,20-Apr; Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, an extensive demolition/anti-encroachment drive was held at Sub Division Kokernag on Wednesday.During the drive, which was led by SDM Kokernag and Tehsildars Kokernag and Larnoo, 8 Concrete structures were demolished which were constructed without obtaining proper permission from the competent authorities. A few of these were repeat offenders and were violating court orders as well.“A stern message has been delivered to all concerned that before doing any commercial/residential construction, requisite permission should be obtained from competent authority, failing which strict action under law shall be undertaken” officials said.The drive was conducted with the help of officials of Revenue, Police, MC Kokernag, KDA, R&B and NHIDCL.(CNS)
