Kulgam , July 16: The district administration Kulgam led by District Magistrate Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din on Friday thwarted the attempt of installing the illegal stone crusher in Mahagund Ashmuje area of Tehsil Qaimoh in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. Locals told that an unknown person with the help of non-local labourers tried to install an illegal stone crusher during the intervening night of Thursday-Friday in the area and they immediately informed DC Kulgam about the illegal activity.
Immediately after receiving the complaint district administration Kulgam swung into action and under the direction of DC Kulgam Dr. Bilal, a team of Tehsildar Qaimoh Bashir Ahmad Khan, Naib Tehsildar Mushtaq Ahmad accompanied by other officials visited the spot and seized the machinery and stopped the ongoing work done by non-local workers.Meanwhile the locals have hailed the immediate action by the district administration.In addition to this DC Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din has warned the people of erecting illegal projects as strict legal action will be taken against the involved.
