Srinagar, 05-Apr; Former Cabinet Minister and Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir on Tuesday expressed deep shock over an ominous fire incident where two houses belonging to Mohammad Ramzan Bhat and Mohammad Yousuf Bhat of Sherabad Khore Teh Pattan were utterly devastated. In a statement issued to , Mir demanded immediate rehabilitation of the affected families besides asserting that such an incident has shattered the hopes of the fire affected families who now have been dispossessed of the shelter over their heads.”The district administration must immediately dispatch assessment making teams on ground zero for taking cognizance of the situation and assessing the losses incurred,” he said He urged the concerned authorities to help out the fire victim families from the Red Cross funds till their proper rehabilitation is ensured.I am hopeful that the district administration will disburse adequate ex-gratia relief to the fire victim families on a prompt basis in order to help them build their crumbled down houses once again. Until that happens a temporary shelter must be provided to these families at an earliest so that their sufferings are mitigated to certain extent” he demanded.(CNS)
