Kalaroos Kupwara: The Ministry of Tourism launched a special initiative *Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT)* in the year 2009-10 for creation of employable skills amongst youth.Under the same initiative, Indian Army along with J&K Tourism Department started batches for *Front Office Management* in Kalaroos, Kupwara. The main aim was to create employable skills among the unemployed youth of Kalaroos and further prevent them from falling prey to the Drug Menace. The first Batch was started in Dec 2021 at Kalaroos, Kupwara. After screening in of the candidates and regular classes of selected students, exams were conducted for the full batch. With their hardwork, all students qualified the exams and acquired the skills required for Front Office Management. A total of *07 students have already been placed* as per their qualifications out of the *first batch of 24 students*.The *Certificate Distribution* ceremony was held at Kalaroos, Kupwara on 28 Mar 2022 to distribute certificates to the first batch. This batch not just qualified and got the certificate but also set an example for rest of the students and youth to come forward and get enrolled for such schemes. Parents, relatives and Sarpanches of their villages also came forward and motivated the youth to enhance and acquire new skills which will help them to get employment and will connect them to main stream of nation building.Fresh batch will be starting in second week of April and date for screening will be intimated shortly. However, looking at the massive response from the students for getting enrolled in the next batch authorities are planning to increase the strength of the next batch. Indian Army has taken up many such initiatives to enroll students and guide them in right direction to improve their standard of living and also to make sure that they are not diverted from this path of progression.
