Industry cum Incubation visit organised by ICccR & HRM JU

    JAMMU: International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu organised an Industrial cum Incubation visit of MBA (Semester III) students to Prevest Denpro Corporation, a Bombay Stock Exchange Listed Company and Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute-JKEDI Jammu.Keeping the objective of bridging gap between academia and industry and with intent to give real time exposure to MBA (International Business) students, the visit was organized with an objective to provide industrial exposure to students with reference to understanding the export mechanisms of corporation to the European and South East Asian economies.The visit to Prevest Denpro Corporation which is one of the world’s leading dental materials manufacturer with modern state-of-the-art production facilities on a floor space of over 60,000 sq. ft was led under the supervision of Namrata Modi, Executive Director, Prevest Denpro, and the team led by her deliberated upon the various products manufactured by the corporation and their export potential which is spread over 80 countries worldwide.Also, the quality management practices were deliberated to the students along with national and international acclamations conferred to the corporation that comprise of “Best Enterprise Award” by European Business Association, “Best Indian Dental Manufacturer Award” by Indian Dental Association, Top Exporter Award from Federation of Indian Exporters Organisation and “Star Export House” by Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.The visit of MBA (International Business) students to Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute-JKEDI and incubation centre, enabled them to align their vision with various start up policies launched at national and regional level.The team at JKEDI led by Majid Manzoor Khan acquainted students to assess and align their business ideas in the form of DPR’s (detailed project reports) and the necessary compliance procedures. The discussion was centred on the coworking facilities and infrastructure provided by the JKEDI to aspiring incubates and entrepreneurs.Professor Neetu Andotra, Director, ICccR & HRM, expressed satisfaction and desire to translate the academia-industry networking into a permanent form of International Business pedagogy so that students can relate their academic knowledge with corporate and entrepreneurial functioning and can envision their careers with reference to present industry needs.Dr. Isha Sharma, Assistant Professor, ICccR & HRM, and Dr. Neha Gupta coordinated the Industrial Visit.
