Srinagar,14-May; Kashmiri Pandit government employees held a protest on Saturday demanding their relocation to safer places outside the valley, days after the killing of minority community member Rahul Bhat by militants.Scores of employees under the banner of All KP Employees Appointed Under PM Package Employment & All PM Package Employees Union- Kashmir appointed for various supernumerary posts under CBM policy in 2010 assembled in press colony in support of their demands. While urging PM of India and LG admin to Repeal the unconstitutional bond (in free India) that PM package employees were forced to sign at the time of joining their services for the survival, they demanded immediate Relocation to the safest, un-hazardous, terror – free places outside Kashmir division. The protestors said that enough is enough now. Govt of India must accept in writing that this rehabilitation policy has completely failed in UT administration, previous elected Govts had completely failed in providing safe and secure environment to Ill fated minority employees section. “We PM package employees working in different departments across the valley are feeling much worried, tense, unsecured frustrated dismayed as this package provided us family separation & loss of precious Lives, bleak future, uncertainty , insecurity and moreover a life full of continuous visible threats, mess miseries and humiliation with no headway PM package employment policy is completely a failed policy at all levels that has only multiplied our woes & vulnerability. We are doing our jobs at the cost of our lives where we recently witnessed a killing of PM package employee namely Rahul bhat at Budgam under a full proof security cover as claimed by the UT Govt, and its authorities down the line .This shocking incident has sprinkled more salt on the wounds we received in recent past target killings in the month of oct 2021 where we lost Supinder kour ji & Deepak chand ji”, reads the statement, they issued. The statement further reads that we strictly believe it is a complete failure of administration that has resulted in the toll of lives of the innocent PM package employees. With a lot of false assurance, lip services that we package employees received from every government, politician & administrator for fast 12 years; we are now highly disappointed and warped with only uncertainties & continuous & proven life threats.
