Srinagar,13-May: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday met the relatives of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat, who was shot dead by militants in the Chadoora area of Budgam district yesterday. “Met the relatives of Rahul Bhat and assured justice to the family. In this hour of grief, the government stands firmly with Rahul’s family. Terrorists and their supporters will have to pay a very heavy price for their heinous act, “LG Sinha said in tweet.Bhat, a revenue department official at the tehsil office in Chadoora, was shot at and subsequently taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The killing triggered massive protests from the minority community in Kashmir and drew strong condemnation from political parties.(CNS)
