Srinagar,27-Apr: On the eve of Shab-e-Qadr, Mirwaiz Foundation releases Seena Ba Seena Volume 2. A selection of Manajaats, Na’at and Manqabat recited by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. In the 5th Century (AH) the great saint and Islamic scholar Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) introduced a unique form of Wa’az-oTableegh to educate people and to bring to them the teachings of Islam. His Wa’az-o-Tableegh was transformative and created a revolution across the Muslim World. In Kashmir a similar form of was Wa’az-o-Tableegh was adopted by the Mirwaizeen to foster Islamic teachings amongst the people. This tradition continues till date, Alhamdulillah! The special feature of the Wa’az is the recitation of Manqabat, Manajaat and Na’at in Kashmiri and Farsi, recited at particular moments during the course of the Wa’az. The Wa’az is concluded with powerful supplications (Dua) to Almighty Allah. Since August 2019 Mirwaiz Mohammad Umar Farooq is under house arrest, incarcerated by the state authorities. This has led to the forcible suspension of Majlis –Wa’az- o- Tabligh delivered by him. As a tribute to the holy month of Ramadhan the Mirwaiz while detained at his house has compiled a selection of Manaajaat, Na’at and Manqabat from the Bayaz of the Mirwaizeen. We pray that Almighty Allah within the boundless baraka of Ramadan, the exalted night of Laylatul Qadr and Revelation of Quran bestows mercy on people of Kashmir and on all Millat-e-Islamia, Aameen.
