Srinagar ,23-May: A newly-wed policeman died after hit by an oil tanker in Shadipora Payeen area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district early this morning.The policeman posted in District Police Lines Bandipora was heading towards Masjid to offer Fajr prayers in his native village, when he was hit and grievously injured by an unknown oil tanker.Local sources said that the deceased was married four days ago. Identified as Farhad Ali son of Ghulam Hyder Wani of Shadipora Payeen, he was subsequently shifted to SKIMS Bemina where he succumbed to injuries.Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigations.(CNS)
