Srinagar, 31-Dec; Three more militants were killed and four security personnel were injured in a fresh encounter in Srinagar on Thursday night, taking the toll of militants to nine in the past 36 hours in three separate gunfights in the Kashmir Valley. The encounter took place at Gomander Mohalla in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar district on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.Confirming the news, a police spokesman said on Twitter, “In the initial exchange of fire, 03 Police personnel & 01 CRPF personnel got injured & were subsequently shifted to hospital.”“03 unidentified #terrorists killed. #Incriminating materials including #arms & ammunition recovered. Search going on,” he said in another tweet while quoting IGP Kashmir.According to police officials, one of the killed militant has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Rather and he was affiliated with the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit. He further said that one among the slain was involved in the attack on police bus at Zewan.“One of the killed #terrorists has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Rather of #terror outfit JeM.
