Kupwara, 21-Mar; All the passengers who were onboard a Vehicle that fell into a deep gorge after hit by a snowslide along Sadhna Top in frontier north Kashmir’s Kupwara district were rescued in injured condition.Sources told that Sumo bearing registration number JK09-5693 on its way to Kupwara from Karnah was hit by an avalanche at Sadhna Top in Tangdhar area of the district.Official sources confirmed to that all the passengers were rescued in injured condition and shifted to Sub District Hospital Tanghdar. Among all, one injured woman is stated to have suffered “serious injuries”.He identified the injured as Toffeq Ahmad (16), Ajmal Rafeeq(13), Abdul Rasheed (40), his wife Zameeda Begum (36), their daughter Sadiya Rashid (13),Sarwar Jan (70) and rehyan (7), all locals from Badharkote and Ibkote areas.Following the incident, a joint rescue operation by security forces and civil administration was launched in the area to ensure safety of some eight persons who were believed to have been in the vehicle.
