Anantnag, 10-Jan;: A inspector of the Power Development Department (PDD) was injured due to electric shock at Vailoo village of South Kashmir’s Anantnag on Monday.An official told that the PDD lineman identified as Abdul Hameed Mir a resident of Badasgam came in contact with a live wire while repairing an electric transformer after which he sustained burn injuries.Mir was rushed to Government Medical College Anantnag where he is undergoing treatment and his condition is stated as stable.Meanwhile, SDM visited the SDH to enquire about the health of Mir. SDM further directed the concerned AEE to provide necessary safety equipment to PDD employees to ensure their safety. (CNS)
