    Srinagar, 13-Apr;: The rising pocket picking incidents in passenger vehicles particularly in matadors from Jehangir Chowk to various other areas are rising every passing day with authorities showing little interest in addressing the menace has been receiving many calls from last so many days that a group of thieves is on prowl in the Jehangir Chowk stretch who are looting the passengers onboard taking advantage of overloading.Mohammad Ayoub from Bhagat complained that his wife was robbed of gold bangle worth 2.5 lakh on Monday while boarding the bus at jehangir Chowk“While filing complaint in the police station, at least six cases were reported within half an hour from the area making it extremely difficult for passengers to travel in public transport”,Ayoub added..Passengers alleged traffic police is doing nothing to check the overloading whereas the police officer concerned areas have also been reluctant in taking tightening the noose against the pocket pickers.
