Anantnag, 06-Jan; A rescue operation was launched late last night after administration received information about four persons being trapped in snow at Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.The rescue operation was launched by sub divisional magistrate along with SDPO, tehsil and civil administration during mid night and saved pregnant lady including four people and two vehicles.The timely rescue operation by the civil administration and other agencies besides, their immediate response to tragedy helped in saving the precious lives was hailed by the locals.Meanwhile, locals while appreciating the hectic efforts of officials in saving precious lives said that these officials are always on toes in emergency situations.“We recommend district administration that these officials should be Appreciated on national level because from last several months they saved many precious human lives”, locals added.(CNS)
