Baramulla,26-Feb; Residents of Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla District filed objections to the Delimitation Commission with reference to the publishing draft report in public domain.In its objection reply to the commission, the residents maintained that General public of Rafiabad unanimous contest the change of name Rafiabad and addition as Rohama Terming it as sheer injustice with Rafiabad. Rafiabad, is historical and associated lesser known village prefix with it is injustice with the sentiments of public. Second as earlier we have given representation for inclusion of Kralgund with Rafiabad due to adjacent topography and feasible distance with Rafiabad.“Ironically you have included Zainageer Tehsil which is injustice and against to the purpose of delimitation. So kindly keep the name of Rafiabad constituency as Rafiabad and include Tehsil Kralgund with Rafiabad which already part of erstwhile Rafiabad”,Reads the objection.The citizen forum Rafiabad on behalf of residents have requested delimitation commission to reconsider the decision and allow the segment to remain as it is.
