Srinagar,11 Nov:The J&K chapter of Bharat Scouts and Guides celebrated its Flag day on Wednesday here. The event started with the Flag hoisting by State Commissioner of the organization Gazafar Ali. He was accompanied by JD YSS Bashir Ahmad, DYSSO Srinagar and Senior Officers of Bharat Scouts & Guides. The second part of the programme was based on fund raising and presentation of Scarfs etc. State commissioner Bharat Scouts & Guides Gulshan Ara in her welcome speech highlighed role of Bharat Scouts & guides in providing a helping hand to the needy and people in distress. She hoped that new team under the dynamic leadership of Gazafar Ali would associate new members with the organization on mission mode. She also spoke about the importance of Flag day of the organization. Two young school children Zara Tawheed and Towseef Ahmad threw some light on the basic laws and duties of Bharat Scouts & Guides.Newly selected office bearers Public Relation Officer Azhar Hajini and Assistant PRO Rumi Nazir were welcomed in the form by State Commissioner and other senior members. They were presented BSG scarfs as a token of love and respect.Journalists Malik Sajid, Malik Sumeed, Khan Mudasir, Shahid Farouqi were also presented scarfs for their participation in the programme.
