Kupwara,24-May;An awareness cum distribution programme on Silk worms was held in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.The programme was held in presence of District Sericulture officer Manzoor Ahmad Sofi at Arampora nursery.On this occasion Sericulture Astt.Gh Mohd Magrey, GM Dar and other employees were present.In this program 40 farmers from three Sericulture beats were provided chawkie worms. Six rearing kits were also distributed among progressive formers.Meanwhile, District Sericulture officer appealed the general public especially unemployed youth to join the department in establishing the income generating units and avail the benefits of departmental schemes including “production based incentive to cocoon growers”.
