Budgam,31-Mar; Scores of students from Budgam have complained the absence of local traffic in the area creating inconvenience to daily commuters.A delegation of such commuters told that route lacks the bus service creating huge inconvenience for locals especially students.“Besides boys and Girls Higher secondary school Budgam, there are many well established Pvt schools in the town where hundreds of students are enrolled. ITI and a college, located in a cut off area too has a big catchment area particularly from western side between Budgam and Beerwah but the public transport facility for the students is negligible”, they said.They alleged that there is hardly any mid day bus service for any area.”Sumo vehicles charge double than bus fare therefore maximum students don’t bear it. Girls and students of elementary classes face much awkward position and are seen wandering from New bus stand to old bus stand to get bus,sumo or 407 passenger vehicle soon after schools and colleges get closed at 3 pm around”.Meanwhile, commuters especially Students have urged DC and ARTO Budgam for operation of at least 2 SRTC Buses from Budgam to Beerwah, One from Budgam to Sholipora & one from Budgam to wadwan as this will ease the tension of students and they will be able to reach school and back to home comfortably without any fear or concern.(CNS)
