Magam 24 Feb, Jammu and Kashmir Police has booked three Councillors of Municipal Committee Magam area of Central Kashmir for their interference, damaging govt property.Sources told that Three Ward Members of Municipal Committee Magam identified as Ghulam Mustafa Mir of Ward No 5, Ashiq Hussain Hajam Ward No 09 & Ghulam Ahmad Sofi 13 were booked for Interference in Government Work, Trespassing and damaging government Property in Government Degree College Magam while manhandling with the official staff in the college.Meanwhile, on the Written Complaint filed by Principal Govt Degree College Magam Police booked all three Councillors Under FIR No 21/2022, U/s 447, 427 and 353 in Police Station Magam.Executive officer Aijaz Ahmad MC Magam told that the allegations were baseless as they only tried to stop the illegal construction in the college.Sources confirmed to that two arrested councillors are currently on police remand.(CNS)
