Kanzalwan Gurez, 1 April 2022 : Indian army in order to increase the income of locals, educated locals on how plantation of trees can help them earn from land that is left uncultivated and also educated the locals on the adverse affects of deforestation and global warming.The Army conducted a tree plantation drive at Nayal village.A total of 40 plants were distributed in village Nayal. A total of 30 men and 15 children of the village participated in the tree plantation drive. Tree plantation drive not assists in increasing the forest cover in the area but also acts as a natural habitat for various fauna in the region.The army with the assistance of the local forest authorities conducted this drive as a symbolic event which not only educates the public at large on the benefits of tree plantation but also helps improve the green cover of the planet while increasing bond with army and locals .
