At least 11 people lost their lives and 17 sustained injuries after two trucks collided with each other in Vadodara of Gujarat. The mishap occurred at Waghodia Crossing Highway in the wee hours on Wednesday, news agency ANI reported.
According to reports, the victims were going to Pavagadh from Surat when the accident took place. The injured have been taken to SSG Hospital in Vadodara for immediate medical relief.
“Death toll rises to 11 in the incident in Vadodara,” Ranjan Ayyer, SSG Hospital’s superintendent, said.Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has instructed officials to make necessary arrangements. “Saddened by the loss of lives due to a road accident near Vadodara. Instructed officials to do needful. May those who have been injured recover at the earliest. I pray for the departed souls,” Rupani said.
