29-Dec;Home Ministry has rejected Congress’ claim of security breach of its leader Rahul Gandhi during Bharat Jodo Yatra.Replying to a letter written by Congress, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) which is managing the security of Gandhi said, his security arrangements have been fully made as per the guidelines.The CRPF said, during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi, all security guidelines were strictly followed and Delhi Police had made sufficient deployment.Underlining that security arrangements made for the protectee works fine when the protectee himself adheres to the guidelines, the CRPF said, on several occasions violations of guidelines on the part of Gandhi have been observed and this fact has been communicated to him from time to time. Since 2020, there have been 113 violations have been observed and duly communicated to Gandhi.It added that during Delhi leg of Bharat Jodo Yatra also, the protectee violated security guidelines and CRPF will be taking up this matter separately.Earlier, Congress has written to Home Minister Amit Shah alleging that Delhi Police failed to control the crowd in the national capital during the Yatra and several instances of multiple breaches in the security have been observed.
