21 Aug: The Senior Citizens’ Rejuvenation Centre celebrate “World Senior Citizen Day” in Trikuta Nagar of Bahu Constituency today felicitated Rekha Mahajan, a prominent BJP leader and District President Jammu South, for her outstanding contributions to the welfare of senior citizens and her dedication to public service. 

The felicitation ceremony was organised  by prominent Senior Citizens namely Shubchander Verma Founder Member SCRC, Baldev Raj Gupta President, Narinder Mahajan Patron, TR Tagger General Secretary and other team members who lauded Rekha Mahajan’s selfless service and dedication to the public in all corners. 
The senior citizens centre’s members praised Rekha Mahajan’s efforts to improve the lives of senior citizens and social services in Jammu, citing her initiatives to enhance healthcare, social security, and recreational facilities for the elderly. While presented a bouquet of flowers. Rekha Mahajan expressed her gratitude to the senior citizens centre and reiterated her commitment to serving the senior citizens and the people of Jammu. “I am humbled by this recognition,” Rekha Mahajan said. “I will continue to work tirelessly for the welfare of our senior citizens and ensure that their voices are heard.” The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss the pressing issues relevant to senior citizens, with BJP leader Rekha Mahajan sharing their insights and strategies on how best to address the needs of the elderly community. The discussions emphasized the critical role senior citizens play in society and the importance of continued advocacy and support for them. Rekha Mahajan, a prominent BJP leader, today reaffirmed her commitment to serving the people of Jammu South, saying, “Jammu is my ‘Karam Bhoomi’ (workplace) and ‘Janam Bhoomi’ (birthplace). As a daughter of the soil, it is my moral duty to perform social services for the upliftment of all segments of society.” She emphasized her dedication to the region’s development and welfare, citing her initiatives in healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment. “I am committed to ensuring that every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir receives the benefits of development and progress,” she said. Furthermore, Rekha stated that I will continue to work tirelessly for the betterment of Jammu South and its my duty to give back to the society that has given me so much.
