There are around 30 lakh of indigenous Muslims, Assamese Sikh, Buddhist voters in the state and the BJP-led Assam government has announced various schemes worth over Rs 100 crore by aiming to get supports from these people.The Assam government has also announced to form few development councils for Goria, Moria, Jolha community of indigenous Muslims.Janagoshthiya Samanay Parishad – an umbrella organization of around 40 different organizations of the indigenous Muslims, Assamese Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Jain, held a meeting in Guwahati and urged the state government to implement the announcements made by the state government soon.
The indigenous Muslim organizations also claimed that, there are 25 such assembly constituencies in the state where the indigenous Muslim voters have the strength to win any candidate.BJP leader Mominul Awal – who is also the Chief Convenor of Janagoshthiya Samanay Parishad said that, all indigenous Muslim organizations have decided to appeal the ruling BJP party to give its candidature to indigenous Muslim people in most of the 25 seats where indigenous Muslim voters are maximum.“We hope that, the state government will implement their announcements, commitment soon. We have given an ultimatum time to the state government to implement it on grounds by December 31 this year. We will meet again on January 1 – the first day of 2021 and will decide our future course of action,” Mominul Awal said.
He further said that, BJP has set a target of Mission 100 plus seats and BJP will again form next government in Assam.“We the indigenous Muslims are also hoping that, BJP will win maximum seats in the next assembly polls and the people from our community to become MLA. We will appeal the BJP party to give the party candidature to our people also,” Mominul Awal said.There are around 60 lakh people of indigenous Muslims, Assamese Sikh, Buddhist in the state.
