India would be hosting the third India-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue on Oct 27 in presence of US Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo and Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper during their two-day visit to the Asian country.
Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar would be leading the delegations from the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of External Affairs.
The previous two Dialogues were held in New Delhi in Sept 2018 and in Washington DC in Dec 2019.
India and US have a comprehensive global strategic partnership which includes political, security and defence, economic, commercial, technology and people to people contacts.
Secretaries Esper and Pompeo will also have bilateral meetings with their respective counterparts during their visit from oct 26-27.
They will also be meeting NSA and will jointly call on PM Narendra Modi.
