Srinagar, June 03 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the train accident site in Balasore, Odisha, today to assess the situation and meet with injured individuals at hospitals in Cuttack. The tragic collision occurred last night when three trains collided after one of the coaches derailed.In response to the devastating incident, the government has initiated extensive rescue operations. All hospitals in nearby districts have been put on alert to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured.The Chief Secretary of Odisha, Pradeep, informed that three units of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), four units of the Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force, over 15 fire rescue teams, 30 doctors, 200 police personnel, and 60 ambulances have been mobilized to the accident site.With the combined efforts of these emergency response teams, the focus remains on ensuring swift rescue operations, providing necessary medical aid, and addressing the needs of the affected individuals.PM Modi’s visit and the subsequent high-level meeting with railway officials demonstrate the government’s commitment to addressing the situation effectively and providing the required support to the victims and their families during this difficult time.
