10-day NCC Annual Training Camp being organised in Gurez Valley

Srinagar, 23-May, CNS A 10-day NCC camp is being conducted inGurez Valley, a remote and mountainous region in the northern most part of Jammu and Kashmir, for 315 cadets from far flung border districts of the state. The camp, which began on 22 May, is being organized by the 3rd Jammu and Kashmir Battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) collaboration with the Indian Army.In a statement issued, PRO (Defence) Srinagar said that the Cadets from 44 institutes hailing from border districts of North Kashmir- Kupwara, Bandipora and Baramulla, are being trained in a variety of subjects, including physical fitness, drill, weapon training, first aid, and map reading. They are also being given lectures on topics such as national integration, patriotism, and civic sense. The camp is being conducted in a bid to promote national integration and patriotism among the youth of the border districts of Kashmir. It is also an opportunity for thecadets to learn new skills and develop their leadership qualities.
