BANDIPORA, FEBUARY 08: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Wednesday said the administration mulls construction of Administrative Complex, Sports Stadium for Block Aloosa.While interacting with the public at Aloosa Village in Bandipora district during Public interaction programme under Block Diwas, Dr Owais said the fires are common especially in winters and it is not possible to have a fire station in every village.He said though the administration has already moved an intend to the government for establishment of a fire station in Aloosa, but as an immediate measure, the district administration may install fire extinguishers at certain locations to avoid major damage till the fire tenders arrive.He said the disaster management and fire service department is also training local volunteers at every Panchayat to be the first responders during such disasters so that damages are avoided. He urged people to take precautions to avoid fire like incidents especially in winters.Earlier people raised the demand of establishment of Fire service in the Aloosa block.Dr Owais also called for strict action against people who are polluting water bodies in the village.He asked the officers of the Rural Development to devise a proper waste management plan for the block and identify a particular spot where garbage can be collected and disposed scientifically.Dr Owais also took feedback regarding water supply and implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.
