Srinagar 26 June (CNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Monday urged the administration to ensure necessary arrangements and essential facilities for the public on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha.Bukhari emphasised that the concerned departments must be well-prepared to ensure an abundant supply of essential commodities and delivery of all necessary services to the people before the forthcoming Eid, a statement issued to CNS said.”The concerned departments and officials should remain vigilant and ensure that people have easy access to all necessary services and an adequate supply of essential commodities, including meat, fish, poultry, dairy products, fresh bakery items, rice, LPG, and other essentials, without any inconvenience or obstacles,” he said.Additionally, he called for an intensified market inspection across Jammu and Kashmir to effectively monitor and curb black market activities.”There should be no black-marketing or profiteering in the markets. Shopkeepers and traders found guilty of compromising the quality of food items, selling expired products, or failing to display rate lists of essential commodities should be dealt with according to the law,” Bukhari said, adding, “Furthermore, the administration, especially officials from concerned departments, should be accessible to the public if they have any complaints to address.”Apni Party president also emphasised the importance of proper sanitation and the availability of public transport to ensure smooth and hassle-free movement of people to major congregational Eid prayers.He said that the traffic police authorities should ensure the efficient operation of both public and private transport in the city and other significant towns throughout the Valley
