Amid Snowfall; Air, surface traffic affected in Kashmir

Srinagar,30- Jan: A fresh spell of snowfall partially cut off Kashmir valley from the rest of the country, as both air and surface traffic was affected on Monday.As per official reports, most of the airlines at Srinagar international airport, including, Air India, GoFirst, Indigo, Spice Jet and Vistara, cancelled morning flights due to the bad weather. Other airlines also delayed several of their flights.Later Director, Airport Authority of India (AAI), Srinagar Airport, Kuldeep Singh said that all 68 flights for today have been cancelled due to bad weather.“All 68 flights were cancelled due to low visibility and continuous snowfall,” he said. All airlines will accommodate the passengers of the cancelled flights in the next available flight without any extra charges, he said.
