Srinagar, 12-Apr, : Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar, on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, has paid glowing tribute to the Khalifa-e-Raashid, the Lion of Allah, the son-in-law of Prophet (PBUH), Hazrat Ali Murtaza Karram-Allah-u Wajhah (RA) on his martyrdom day.The Anjuman in a statement issued to CNS, described the great personality of Hazrat Ali (RA), his invaluable services and sacrifices for Islam and his achievements regarding the promotion of the Islamic State during his caliphate as unforgettable.Every aspect of the blessed life of Hazrat Ali (RA) is a bright chapter from which the guidance will be received forever, it said.Anjuman said that Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir on the occasion of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali Murtaza (RA) on the 21st of Ramadan, according to the centuries-old tradition, used to address a huge public gathering at the well-known shrine of the valley, Dastgeer Sahib Sarai Bala, Srinagar, during which he used to pay homage to the Khalifa-e-Raashid (RA) and shed light on his revolutionary life.The Auqaf once again expressed serious concern over the fact that due to the detention of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir for nearly the past four years, many religious programmes of the month of Ramadan could not be possible this year.
