Jammu,17-Jan; UGC and Dental council of India has zero tolerance for ragging within the Campuses of Dental Institution. They have mandated compulsory to have Preventive awareness among student in form of workshop or lectures for the new admission every yearDr. Rahul JagnathHegde, Executive Committee member of Dental Council of India from New Delhi delivered lecture on zero tolerance on Ragging by Dental Council of India. He has spoken detail about Preventive aspect on menance of Ragging.He appreciated that Government Dental college Jammu is strictly adhering to all the guidelines of Dental Council of India on zero tolerance on Ragging, and no case has been reported in this institution.He also said that he is four time member of Executive committee of dental council of India from last seventeen years and visited almost all Dental Institution in India. He on behalf of Dental Council of India put on record that IGGDC, Jammu is not only among the best in Jammu and Kashmir but at national level also.Dr. Rakesh K. Gupta, Principal also delivered lecture on Anti-ragging and informed that they are strictly adhering all guidelines of DCI and UGC on implementation of menace of Ragging.Dr. Parveen Akhter Lone, Professor and HOD and Academic committee welcome chief guest and other dignitaries.
